Whatever Happened to Predictability?

Mary-Kate Olsen is back again. The anorexic/bulimic/Gothic/hippie starlet has been issued a subpoena by the Drug Enforcement Administration office in New York that requires her to testify in front of a grand jury. I would say “poor girl” but she gives me no reason to. In her recent past, Mary-Kate has been in and out of rehab centers for both eating disorders AND drug abuse. Not really a great role model. Clearly, Ashley is the better twin.

Mary-Kate has stated that she has no information to help the ongoing investigation of Heath Ledger’s death. I find this hard to believe. Let’s see… he was in her old apartment, was rumored to be seen hanging around with her in the previous months to his death, and she has a record for drug use. Add the poisonous drug cocktail found in Ledger’s blood, and it’s a little hard to not start assuming things.

And, ironically, Mary-Kate said she won’t say anything unless she is granted immunity. True, this is a smart move for anyone being questioned and it is a person’s right to plead the fifth. She may just be getting smart legal advice. However, it also suggest she might have something to hide, whether or not it has anything to do with Ledger’s death. I mean, if she was innocent and was as close to Ledger as she and others claim, then wouldn’t she just want to help the investigation as cooperatively as possible? One would think so. After all, in this country it is innocent until proven guilty.

Whatever happened to those sweet, adorable, smart little twins that America used to watch and love?? It’s not doubt that things haven’t been the greatest for the Olsen twins in recent years. They haven’t had a hit movie since they were kids. They used to be every girl’s role model. Now they grace the internet in headlines about movie star deaths and drugs.

Who only knows what Mary-Kate has gotten herself into now…
